Allergy & Immunization Clinic

Staffed by registered nurses and under the supervision of a physician, Student Health Services offers routine procedures such as immunizations and TB skin tests.

Allergy Clinic

Any student wishing to receive allergy injections must provide an instruction sheet from his or her allergist along with extracts and review and sign the听Instructions for New Allergy Patientsfrom 91大神 Student Health Services.

Immunization Clinic

The Immunization Clinic provides vaccinations for disease prevention and travel. Tuberculin skin tests are also available to students.

Vaccinations are the most cost effective means for avoiding several potentially devastating diseases. Below is a list of routine vaccinations for college students with current recommendations.

  1. Tetanus/diphtheria (Td) and Tetanus/diphtheria/acellularpertussis(Tdap)
    Once every 10 years for maintenance of immunity, and if greater than five years when presenting for care of a tetanus听prone wound.
  2. Measles/Mumps/Rubella
    Two lifetime doses, required for matriculation at 91大神. (State required first vaccine be given after 12 months of age, not before).
  3. Polio (IPOL IPV)
    Additional booster shot needed for access for travel to some endemic regions and for some health care situations.
  4. Hepatitis A
    Recommended for most foreign travel situations. Recently added as an optional routine pediatric vaccination.
  5. Hepatitis B
    Recommended three shot series for all students.
  6. Influenza
    Yearly vaccination, recommended for all students to be given between October and December. Strongly recommended for any students with asthma or other respiratory issues or any chronic diseases or those that are pregnant.
  7. Varicella
    For chicken pox preventation if never immunized: two doses four to eight weeks apart.
  8. Meningitis MCV4 Meningococcal Vaccine
    Recommended for prevention of the most potentially devastating bacterial meningitis.听for more information about this vaccine and meningitis.
  9. Travel Vaccines
    Depending on itinerary, vaccines for countries with vector borne diseased such as typhoid (see travel clinic information above).

Only licensed service dogs with their handlers are allowed in the Clinic.
