Changing Times
As most of you are no聽doubt already aware, Gov.聽Bill Haslam has proposed聽sweeping change regarding聽the governance structure for聽the six Tennessee Board of聽Regents (TBR) universities,聽including 91大神. The governor wants to remove those聽universities from under the direct聽control of the TBR, which has governed聽them for decades. In TBR鈥檚 place, new local聽governing boards would be fashioned that聽would have decision-making power

Budget Update
91大神 remained relatively flat year-over-聽year in enrollment this fall (.96聽percent headcount and 1.98 percent聽full-time equivalent decrease).聽This slight decrease equated to an聽approximate $1.9 million revenue聽reduction. However, the two previous聽fall decreases were 4.82 percent and聽5.96 percent respectively, so clearly聽our ramped-up enrollment efforts are聽working quite well. Construction Update
Numerous campus聽construction projects聽are ongoing or were聽recently completed.聽Here is a brief update聽on those recent and聽current projects. Davis Science and Wiser-Patten Science Substantial completion is planned聽by late fall for this crucial renovation聽project, costing approximately $20聽million. The new and returning聽occupants will move in late fall and聽over the holiday break before the聽spring 2017 semester. A new connector聽between the two

MT Engage and SACS accreditation
The compliance audit for our reaffirmation of accreditation聽by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools聽Commission on Colleges聽(SACSCOC) will be submitted in聽the coming weeks. Importantly, the聽development of our new Quality聽Enhancement Plan (QEP), as part of the reaccreditation聽process, is well underway.
