Please follow the steps below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Get approvals: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Before proposing an online version of a course, the course must be approved for inclusion in the 91大神 curriculum by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/ucc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC)<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;the <a href=\"https:\/\/w1.mtsu.edu\/graduate\/faculty\/council.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Graduate Council<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consult with your department chair to make sure they are aware and agree to your online course proposal. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your department or college has a curriculum committee, those committees should be aware of and approve your course proposals. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you submit your proposal form (see below) via the electronic &#8220;dynamic form,&#8221; your chair and the curriculum committee will have opportunities to support or decline your proposal. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the description of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/online\/online_course_types\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">91大神 Course Types<\/a>&nbsp;and choose a course type to develop. This page describes the various <strong>course types<\/strong> and the <strong>faculty stipends<\/strong> associated with development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read about the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/online\/faculty_terms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expectations and procedures for course developers<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read and be familiar with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/online\/guidelines\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1896\">Online and Distance Education Guidelines<\/a> from 91大神 Online.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itdwebapps.mtsu.edu\/DFPassThrough\/DFCasAuth?TargetResource=https%3a%2f%2fdynamicforms.ngwebsolutions.com%2fSubmit%2fStart%2f9070535b-d9ac-4365-9cfb-f960ff9cf963\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Course Development Proposal Form<\/a>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The course proposer (the faculty member) initiates this dynamic form. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The dynamic form is automatically routed to your department chair for comment and approval. If your department and college have curriculum committees, they will review the proposal as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>91大神 Online reviews all course proposals using the criteria below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If 91大神 Online approves (or declines) your proposal, you will be notified via email. Carol Hayes, the 91大神 Online Faculty Services Coordinator, will send an Online Course Development Agreement Form to the faculty developer.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This form specifies the developer&#8217;s duties and obligations and facilitates developer compensation. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compensation will not be paid until all parties have completed and signed the agreement. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Note that non-standard courses such as internships, practicum, independent studies, etc., are not compensated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How 91大神 Online Reviews and Prioritizes Course Proposals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A course development proposal most likely to be accepted for (re)development is for a course that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>is part of a fully online, or soon-to-be fully online, degree program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is in high demand by online students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is a key elective for students seeking to complete a degree online<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is significantly outdated relative to the field of study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>has a strong justification from the proposer and a strong endorsement from the department chair<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Typical reasons a course proposal might be declined<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The chair, department, or college curriculum committee did not support or approve the proposal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The faculty member proposed more than two courses to develop. In our experience, developing more than two courses in a term by a single faculty developer is very challenging due to faculty time constraints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The unit or department proposed so many courses that 91大神 Online needed to &#8220;triage&#8221; the most crucial courses, to be fair to all the departments proposing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We at 91大神 Online are happy to help you with your new proposed courses.
