February 26, 2026 – Email #6

Good Afternoon, Faculty Colleagues –

See below for the most recent monthly installment of Canvas updates for faculty. It鈥檚 an exciting time as work accelerates in advance of our Summer 2026 go-live.

  1. The final batch of K16 custom course migrations will begin very soon (with course availability in mid-April).
    1. If you have a complex course to suggest for custom migration, please complete and submit this  by Friday, March 6. Availability is limited, so please submit only complex courses with significant content. Our team will prioritize submissions and accommodate as many as possible.
    2. Remember that due to limited resources, custom migration services are not available for all D2L courses. Recent course shells using multiple LMS features, along with 91大神 Online courses, will undergo custom migration. Otherwise, you should move courses and content using the guidelines in this pdf and .
  1. Summer and Fall 2026 course shells are now visible in . These are just shells, without course content, but you can import content anytime. Pdf and  for how to do so are available in the faculty resources on the Canvas website.
  1. Students cannot access D2L after May 15, 2026, but faculty permissions are active through December 31, 2026.

  2. CIO Yvette Clark and I will soon finalize plans to archive past D2L courses, thereby enabling access to D2L course data and submissions past December 31, 2026. More information to come.

As always, if you have questions, please contact me directly or e-mail our team at [email protected]. You can also visit the Canvas implementation website for more information regarding timelines, Canvas resources, , and more.
