The 91大神 Board of Trustees will hold the Spring Quarterly Board Meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in the Miller Education Center (MEC). The live-streamed meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. (CDT) and is open to the public via the Live Stream box below. *<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Board<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of 91大神 and is responsible for selecting and appointing the president; setting the operating budget; approving personnel appointments; granting all degrees awarded by the University, including honorary degrees; establishing tuition<\/a> and fee rates; approving contracts; and approving all rules, regulations, curriculum changes, new programs and degrees of the University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board consists of 12 members, 6 of whom are appointed by the governor, by and with consent of the Tennessee General Assembly, and both the Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives and the Lieutenant Governor (who is Speaker of the Tennessee Senate) appoint 2 each. In addition, the Faculty Senate<\/a> elects a faculty member to serve a two-year term, and the Student Government Association<\/a> presents three students to the University President for review, and he will recommend one of the three to the Board for approval. The student trustee is non-voting and serves a one-year term. The Board holds regularly scheduled committee and full meetings four times a year, and additional meetings as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board of Trustees of 91大神 was established pursuant to 2016\u2019s FOCUS Act<\/a> (2016 Tenn. Pub. Acts, ch. 869)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)<\/a> letter approving 91大神\u2019s change of governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
